Boys CCS Open Division Championship cancelled
The Central Coast Section Boys Water Polo Open Division championship game scheduled for Thursday morning Has been cancelled due to poor air quality.
Sacred Heart Prep and Bellarmine will both advance to the Open Division I tournament at Buchanan High.
The NorCals have already been seeded and Thursday's game would have been to crown the Open Division champion. The Gators (27-2) already own three wins over Bellarmine (19-10).
Sacred Heart Prep meets Miramonte at 1:20 p.m. and Bellarmine meets host Buchanan at 12:10 p.m. Menlo School (21-7) plays San Ramon Valley at 2:30 p.m.
Palo Alto (20-11) plays Righetti (21-12) in Division II at 2:20 p.m. Friday at Clovis North.
The Warriors went undefeated in the Mountain League and outscored opponents 197-44 in league play. Righetti lost to Buchanan in the section finals.
