• What are "Count-Me-In" parties?

  Count-Me-In (CMI) events are a fun and meaningful part of the Sacred Heart Schools auction experience. These unique events bring our community together throughout the school year while helping raise important funds for financial aid.

  
  

  There’s a CMI for everyone! Events can be anything from a small gathering or dinner party to a larger celebration, as well as hands-on experiences and activities such as hikes, painting, cooking, or exercise classes, and other special outings. Beyond being a great way to support Sacred Heart, CMIs are an opportunity to make new connections, spend time with friends, and meet members of our community you may not otherwise have the chance to know.

• Who can host a "Count-Me-In" party?

  Any SHS parent, PAL, faculty member, or staff member is welcome to host! The number of hosts typically depends on the size and cost of the event, with up to 10 hosts or host families generally participating. We recommend identifying one or two lead hosts who can serve as the primary point of contact with the Auction Committee and help coordinate event details.

• What is the SHS Annual Auction?

  The SHS Auction is a long-standing Sacred Heart Prep tradition, and our biggest community celebration of the year! It’s also one of our most important fundraising events, helping provide exceptional faculty and programs, tuition assistance, and the resources that make the SHS experience possible for all of our students.

  It’s a night to come together, celebrate our community, and have a whole lot of fun while supporting the school we all love.

• Why is the SHS Annual Auction important?

  Where Does the Money Go?

  100% of the net proceeds from the Auction directly support the exceptional education we’re so proud to provide our students.

  But the Auction is about more than fundraising. It’s one of the best opportunities for our SHS community to come together, have fun, and make a difference. From donating items to volunteering behind the scenes, there are countless ways for parents to get involved, and it’s pretty special to see what we can accomplish when we all pitch in.

• How can I get involved?

  The Auction Committee relies on the incredible support of the SHS community to make this special event possible. Whether you have a little time or a lot, there are so many ways to get involved, and every bit of help makes a difference!
  
  

  Here are just a few ways you can help:

  • Volunteer! There are lots of ways to pitch in, both before the Auction and on the big night. Check out the Auction Volunteer Form to see the available volunteer opportunities and find a way to get involved! 
  • Donate an Item or service to be featured in the Auction! Looking for inspiration? Check out our Auction Item Ideas for our wish list, as well as fun ideas for Count-Me-In experiences. Donate an Item and help make this year’s Auction amazing!
  • Spread the Word! Ask friends, family members, or local businesses you know and support to donate an item or service to the Auction. It’s an easy way to help us build an amazing lineup of Auction offerings! Share our Donate an Item Form with anyone who may be interested in contributing. 
  • Underwrite the Auction by making a cash contribution to help cover Auction expenses and make this special evening possible. Explore our Underwriting Levels to find an option that’s right for you.
  • Sponsor Faculty and Staff so they may also join us for the evening!
  • Come celebrate, have some fun, and enjoy a memorable night with the Sacred Heart community!

• How can I donate an item?

  Donating an Auction Item Is Easy!

  Simply fill out the Auction Items Donation Form. Once you’ve submitted your donation, bring in your item or coordinate with the Auction Committee to have it picked up or delivered closer to the event.

  If you have brochures, photos, or other materials that help showcase your item, please include those with your donation.

  Count Me In Events for Students and Parents

  Count Me In events are great for community building, and we seek events representing all grades, as well as multi-grade, parent-student and parent-only events. These items are generally co-hosted by multiple families.

  • Themed dinners/parties – Mardi Gras, Valentine’s, Sports, etc.
  • A cooking class or other activity based event
  • Backyard parties
  • Group workouts or tournaments – hiking, yoga and lunch, pickleball, cornhole or ping pong
  • Moms’ or Dads’ Nights Out
  • Experiences: poker, tea party, art gallery viewing, jewelry making, dance party, bowling, etc.
  • Parties at outside venues: sports venue, paintball, Mountain Winery, visit to wine country

• What and when is the online auction?

  Shop the Auction Online or In Person!

  All SHS families will have access to our online auction website (link available March 8, 2027), where you can sign up for Count-Me-In parties and browse the auction catalog. You do not need to attend the Auction to participate online!

  The online Count-Me-In auction will be open Monday, March 8 – Sunday, March 14, 2027.*

  Then, on Saturday, March 20, 2027, join us in person for the full Auction experience, featuring our Silent, Super Silent, and Live auction items available for bidding throughout the evening.

  *Count-Me-In parties that do not sell out during the online auction will also be available for purchase at the Auction on March 20.

• How do I RSVP to attend the Auction?

  Invitations to the Auction will be mailed to all current SHS parents in mid-February 2027. You’ll be able to officially RSVP through this Auction Website page once registration opens in February.

  Your Auction reservation includes drinks, hors d’oeuvres, dinner, and entertainment, everything you need for a fun night celebrating the SHS community!

• Can I choose my own table or seat?

  Absolutely! Guests are welcome to organize their own table of up to 12 guests and request one another when submitting their RSVP. (RSVP link will be available in mid-February 2027.)

  But don’t worry if you’re not organizing a table! Our dedicated team of volunteers will thoughtfully arrange seating so you’re at a great table with other SHS parents, including families from your child’s grade.

  Whether you come with a group or let us do the planning, we’ll make sure you have a fun table and a great night!

• What should I wear?

• Is our donation tax-deductible?

  Yes, as the law allows. You will receive a note acknowledging your donation. Please consult your tax advisor for details.
