How to Apply - Middle School

APPLY ONLINE THROUGH RAVENNA

Welcome and thank you for your interest in Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton! Our application for the 2027-28 academic year opens in early September 2026. To learn more about the process, please review the step-by-step instructions by grade level in the fall (note: updates to last year's instructions are currently in progress).

Note: The application process begins by creating a Ravenna account profile. You can view and track deadlines for every required piece of the Sacred Heart application through a convenient checklist on the Ravenna portal. Please note the deadlines listed within each step as they do vary between grade levels. A successful application will have every item checked off as “complete” once processed by our Admission Team.

STEP 1

Submit the Application

By January 5, 2027

A child must meet the noted age requirement by August 31st, 2027 in order to be an applicant to the corresponding program/grade level:

Grade 6 = 11 years old
Grade 7 = 12 years old
Grade 8 = 13 years old

The following forms must be submitted by the January 5th deadline to confirm your interest in applying to Sacred Heart Schools.

Preliminary application form and fee*
Parent/Guardian Written Statement
Family Video Questionnaire
Student Written Statement
Two teacher recommendations (Please note: SHS will not accept additional letters of recommendation into a student’s application file).
Two academic years of report cards/transcripts
Optional: Academic Support Center application form (Dec 1)

*Please note: if the application fee presents a financial hardship, please contact admission@shschools.org to request a waiver.

STEP 2

Explore SHS Through an Event

September – December 2026 (optional, but recommended)

SHS Admission is hosting several events throughout the admission season to help you get to know our school community, including virtual Information Sessions, Middle School Previews and Campus Visits/Tours.

Please note: all events are optional and attendance has no bearing on the admission process.

STEP 3

(Optional) Apply for Tuition Assistance

By January 5, 2027

We welcome all families who are interested in tuition assistance to submit a Clarity application. To learn more about the process, visit Tuition & Affordability.
