Mission Statement
Our mission is to develop character, reduce injury potential, and enhance the athletic performance of our student athletes through the practices of strength and conditioning.
What We Do
Education of exercise science concepts and principles
Emphasis on training functional movement patterns
Developing and maintaining a safe and inclusive training environment
Adherence to proper exercise form and technique
Daily sport specific movement prescription
Implementing athlete specific rehabilitation protocols – partnering with school athletic training staff and medical professionals
General nutrition education
Sports nutrition counseling
Maintaining open communication between student-athletes, parents, administrators and athletic training staff
Kevin enters his eighth year at Sacred Heart Prep after serving as an assistant with the Gators from 2010-2011. In between he worked for five years as a sports performance coach training collegiate athletes at Stanford University and Santa Clara University (including football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, water polo, golf, lacrosse and swimming). Kevin holds his master’s degree in exercise science and graduated from Arizona State University where he studied kinesiology. Additionally, Kevin is certified through the National Strength & Conditioning Association (CSCS) as well as the National Academy of Sports Medicine (PES) and United States Weightlifting (USAW).
