Lower School

The Lower School at SHS is comprised of approximately 240 students in grades 1-5. They take part in a dynamic, engaging academic and co-curricular program that emphasizes foundational concepts and development of the whole child - intellectual, spiritual, and physical.

We invite you to get to know Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton by attending one of our admission events and discuss with us how our unique Preschool - Grade 12 community may be the right fit for your family.

We look forward to working with and coming to know your family during this process.

Steps to Complete the Application Process

List of 5 items.

  • General Admission Information

At Sacred Heart, the main entry points are preschool, kindergarten, grade 6 and grade 9. As such, openings in grades 1 - 5 vary each year, and is dependent on available space and attrition. We do not expect to know if we will have openings in grades 1 to 5 until the middle of the academic year. For this reason, we still encourage families to show their interest by attending admission events and submitting a complete application by the appropriate deadlines.

The admission office will contact lower school applicants to schedule assessments and campus visits in mid-January. All lower school applicants who have completed their applications before the appropriate deadlines should expect an admission decision in March.

If you have any questions about openings or the grade 1 to 5 admission process, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We look forward to meeting and coming to know your family!
  • Visit Campus

We invite prospective grade 1 - 5 families to get to know us by attending one of the following admission events as part of their application process.

    Campus Tour

We encourage parents and guardians to register for a tour to see our campus and learn more about our grade 1 - 5 program. Due to limited space, these tours are for parents/guardians only and for families looking to apply for the 2020-2021 academic year.

Registration for campus tours is required through Ravenna.
