Bowled Over

All proceeds raised from Valpo Bowl go to the Peninsula Bridge Program.
Started in 2003 and played each year as a community fundraiser to benefit the Peninsula Bridge program, the “Valpo Bowl” is the highlight of Atherton’s fall football season. All proceeds raised go to the Bridge program, a local nonprofit and community partner, which prepares and supports high-achieving students from underserved areas to meet the challenges of academic success.

Over the 15 Valpo Bowl games that have taken place throughout the years, the Sacred Heart and Menlo teams have stayed evenly matched: the Gators edging over the Knights for an overall 8-7 record. Last year’s triumph resets SHP’s winning streak, which had abruptly ended in 2016 after a four-year run. Read more about the Bridge Program.
