The SHP robotics team was one of 65 high schools participating in the FIRST SteamWorks competition in San Diego from Mar. 8-11. Captained by senior Cameron H. and sophomore Danny C., the eight-member squad navigated through eight qualifying matches and finished second overall in offensive points scored. During the elimination rounds, teams can unite to form alliances and the Gators finished in the third-ranked alliance.
The students are now preparing for an upcoming tournament in Las Vegas from Apr. 5-8.
