Adrian Ward (SJS ’29) & Jean Ward Bone (SJS ’32)

Adrian passed away at the age of 96, and his younger sister Jean passed at the age of 89. Although modest and frugal in life, the siblings left behind a generous estate, which they designated in part to charities throughout the Bay Area. With their gift, Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton created an endowed scholarship in their name.

Both siblings attended St. Joseph’s School of the Sacred Heart under the care and leadership of the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (RSCJ). The core values instilled through their Sacred Heart education fostered a deep passion for education and helping others, and a desire to give back to the school they loved so much.
