Gators defeat Hillsdale in PAL Baseball showdown
The SHP Baseball team defeated Hillsdale 11-10 on Wednesday afternoon. Ryan Mo hit a pair of home runs and drove in three for the Gators (11-13-1, 6-7), who host the Fighting Knights at 4 p.m. Friday. Ronan Donnelly picked up the win, and helped his own cause by homering and driving in a pair of runs.
Sacred Heart Prep 11, Hillsdale 10
Sacred Heart Prep scored the game's first nine runs but needed a double play in the bottom of the seventh to secure its PAL Bay Division victory over Hillsdale in San Mateo on Wednesday.
Starter Ronan Donnelly did well enough to gain the victory, giving up three runs on six hits over four innings. He walked five and struck out two.
Parker Isaacson pitched the seventh, walking two around a groundout. He induced a double play ball that was handled by shortstop Yianni Gardner, who initiated the 6-4-3 play that ended the game.
