CCS Soccer brackets set

The Varsity Girls Soccer team, ranked 3rd in Division IV, will host Alisal in the Quarterfinals of the CCS Tournament on Saturday morning at 11AM. The Boys, ranked 1st in the Division 1 bracket, will host South San Francisco immediately following the Girls game, at 1PM. 

Palo Alto, which placed third in the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League De Anza Division, earned the No. 5 seed in the Open Division of the Central Coast Section boys soccer tournament. 

The Vikings (10-3-7) placed behind Los Gatos and Homestead in league play. The Wildcats (10-6-2) received the No. 8 seed and travels to play Watsonville (13-2-5) in Saturday's quarterfinal at 7 p.m.

Palo Alto, unbeaten in its last seven games, which included a 3-1 victory over Los Gatos, plays at Bellarmine (15-2-3) on Saturday at 3 pm.

In boys Division I, West Bay Athletic League champion Sacred Heart Prep (17-0-2) earned the top seed and hosts South San Francisco (11-4-5) at 1 p.m. Saturday. Menlo-Atherton (11-6-3) was awarded the No. 2 seed and meets visiting Alisal (10-6-4) at 5 p.m. Saturday.

WBAL runner-up Menlo School is the No. 3 seed in boys Division II and enjoys a 1 p.m. home contest against Santa Teresa (14-5-1).

Gunn (9-5-4) earned the fourth seed in the newly-created boys Division IV and hosts Harker (13-5) at 11 a.m.

In girls CCS soccer brackets, three-time Peninsula Athletic League champion Menlo-Atherton (7-8-4) was awarded the seventh seed in the Open Division, earning the Bears another trip to Leland (15-2-3), this time in Saturday's quarterfinal round at 5 p.m. Saturday. M-A lost at Leland, 1-0, earlier in the season.

WBAL champion Menlo School (17-1-2) earned the fourth seed in Division I and hosts Live Oak (11-4-4) at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Woodside (8-8-4), which beat M-A last week 2-0, is the seventh seed in Division III and travels to play Saratoga at 1 p.m.

In Division IV, Sacred Heart Prep (9-5-6) was seeded third and hosts Alisal (10-5-1) at 11 a.m. Priory (11-4-3) received the fifth seed and travels to play Gunderson (13-5) at 5 p.m.

Priory finished third in the WBAL and beat fourth-place SHP, 3-2 and 6-0, during the regular season. The Panthers also went 1-0-1 against second-place Notre Dame Belmont (11-7-1), the fifth seed in Division II.

Priory also tied PAL runner-up Burlingame, the No. 8 seed in the Open Division, beat Los Altos, the sixth seed in Division II, lost, 3-2, to D-II fourth seed Prospect and beat Woodside, seeded seventh in Division III.
