Junior Aidan Braccia scored 30 points as the Sacred Heart Prep boys basketball team overcame a slow start to beat visiting The King’s Academy, 78-55, in a West Bay Athletic League contest Wednesday.
Senior Harrison Carrington added 25 points, including the go-ahead 3-pointer early in the second quarter, for the Gators (2-0), who host Pinewood on Friday night.
Braccia was 13-of-20 from the field (65 percent) and SHP shot 54 percent as a team.
The King’s Academy opened a 24-19 lead after the first quarter but SH Prep roared back in the second quarter and never relinquished the lead after Carrington’s 3-pointer.
