Prep baseball: TKA-SHP game goes dark

Ronan Donnelly had three hits, Reece Lindquist allowed one earned run in six innings and Sacred Heart Prep finds itself down 6-4 with no outs in the bottom of the tenth inning in its Peninsula Athletic League Bay Division game with visiting The King's Acacdemy that was suspended due to darkness.

The King's Academy scored four times in the top of the first to open an early lead. The Knights' first four hitters reached base safely, two on walks and two with singles, producing a 2-0 edge.

Starter Parker Isaacson nearly limited the damage but an error and passed ball allowed two more runs to score.

Isaacson, Enzo Pollioni and Reece Lindquist combined to throw eight scoreless innings, aollowing the Gators to rally and tie the game after six innings.

Ryan Mo drove in a run with a single in the fifth and then Teddy Purcell delivered an RBI single, Isaacson doubled in a run and Yianni Gardner hit a sacrifice fly in the sixth.

Donnelly led off the 10th with a single when the game was halted.

Sacred Heart Prep (8-5-1, 4-2) travels to play The King's Academy (6-10, 2-6) Friday, where the game will resume before the regularly-scheduled 4 p.m. contest.
