Prep reports: Top relays on the track and in the pool

The SHP Boys Baseball team was edged by The King's Academy, while both the Boys and Girls Swim Teams defeated Leland on Friday afternoon. 

Boys Baseball
The King's Academy rallied for three unearned runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a tie and beat visiting Sacred Heart Prep 6-5 in a Peninsula Athletic League Bay Division game in Sunnyvale on Friday.

TKA also won the conclusion of a suspended game from Wednesday 6-5 in 10 innings.

Ryan Mo drove in four runs in the regularly scheduled contest for the Gators (8-7-1, 4-4), who travel to play Carmel in a nonleague game Saturday. Parker Isaacson and Mo each had two hits.

The series featured the two defending PAL champions. SHP won the Bay Division title and the Knights (8-10, 5-5) won the Ocean Division title.

Nathan Fleischli struck out nine in his five innings. He allowed three runs on five hits and walked four.

Girls Swimming 
Margot Gibbons and Kaia Li each won two events to help the Sacred Heart Prep girls beat Leland 118-52 in a nonleague meet on Friday.

The Gators also won all three relays, with Gibbons and Li swimming on two of them. Sloane Reinstein and Annaliese Chen each won an individual event and were each part of a winning relay. 

Nellie McAdams, Gabby Ma and Ola Szczerba also swam on winning relay teams.

Gibbons won the 200-yard IM in 2:10.73 and the 100 back in 1:00.44. Li went 5:15.84 to win the 500 free and 1:06.29 in the 100 breast.

Reinstein won the 200 free in 1:52.93 and Chen swam 59.86 to win the 100 fly.

Li, Ma, Chen and McAdams won the 200 medley. McAdams, Gibbons, Reinstein and Ma combined win the 200 free relay (1:41.80) and Szczerba, Li, Gibbons and Reinstein won the 400 free relay in 3:41.29.

Boys Swimming 
Larsen Weigle, Andrew Churukian, Walker Seymour, Will Riley and Ryan Kim each won an event and the Gators won all three relays to beat Leland, 107-63.

Weigle went 49.26 in winning the 100 free, Churukian swam 23.14 to take the 50 free, Seymour won the 200 IM in 2:04.04, Riley went 5:16.22 in winning the 500 free and Kim saw 1:47.71 in the 200 free.

Riley, Seymour, Kim, Churukian, Weigle and Will Connolly each swam on a pair of winning relays.
