KK Clark (SHP ’08) Named to USA Women’s Water Polo Olympic Team

Clark is headed to her first Olympic Games this summer

Former Sacred Heart Prep standout KK Clark (SHP ’08) has been named to the USA Women’s Water Polo Olympic team. The 6-2 defender, who has been a member of the senior national team since 2013, will be competing in her first Olympic games this summer in Rio, Brazil.
 
Clark, the first-ever Sacred Heart alumna to compete in the Olympics in women's water polo, and Team USA are coming off a gold medal finish at the FINA World League Super Final on June 12 in Shanghai, China, capturing the squad’s third consecutive championship and 10th overall.
 
The U.S. will close out the month with a three-game series versus Hungary in the East Coast, before a trio of contests versus Russia in California. The final game of the Russia series will be at nearby Stanford on Wednesday, July 27.
 
The defending gold medalists from the 2012 London Olympics, Team USA will open the Rio Games with Spain (Aug. 9), China (Aug. 11) and Hungary (Aug. 13) in the group stage.
