Prep report: SHP, Menlo Boys girls going for titles

Sacred Heart Prep did not allow a goal in its first 35:23 minutes (six-minute periods) of the St. Francis Invitational on Friday, beating Menlo-Atherton 13-0 and Clovis West 11-3 to reach Saturday's semifinal round against Soquel, to be played at St. Francis at 1:30 p.m.

The championship game is slated for 5:30 p.m., also at St. Francis. Clovis and Leland meet in the other semifinal at 12:30 p.m.

SH Prep senior goalie Nellie McAdams allowed one goal in 31 minutes and recorded 17 saves. Megan Norris took care of the other 17 minutes, making three saves.

Ella Woodhead scored four times and had two assists against the Bears (1-2), who were led by McKayla Grierson and Anna Smith, each with a steal.

Annabel Facey and Eleanor Facey each added a pair of goals and combined for four steals. Isabella Bachler and Cameron Wu each added three steals.

Alexandra Szczerba, Eleanor Facey and Woodhead each added two goals and two assists in the win over Clovis West. Brienz Lang also scored twice for SHP (3-1).
