SHP Open House Student Volunteer Form

Depending on the job you select, you will be assigned to roughly a 2 hour shift between 12:00pm-4:00pm. More details to follow. Please select which date you can attend:

There are five main positions at the Open Houses: Presentation Participant, Campus Tour Guides, Campus Tour Assistants, Area Specialists and Campus Fair Representatives. Review each description first, and then indicate your level of interest for each position. We will do our best to match you with one of your top 3 choices.

Join Dr. Whitcomb's presentation on the missions and five goals of Sacred Heart Education in Harman. As part of the presentation, students will be invited to share a brief (2-3 minute) story or personal experience of when one of the five goals (listed below) came to life for them. We are looking for 1 student to present on each of the 5 goals. Students should be comfortable speaking to a larger audience. Goals: 1) A personal and active faith in God 2) A deep respect for intellectual values 3) A social awareness which impels to action 4) The building of community as a Christian Value 5) Personal growth in an atmosphere of wise freedom

Responsible for leading a campus tour of approximately 50 attendees. To be successful in this role, you should be passionate about sharing your SHP experience and a confident public speaker.

Responsible for answering general questions and assist with leading campus tour. Students should be comfortable interacting with guests one on one and be excited to share your experience as an SHP student.

During the campus tour, groups will stop at various locations to hear about specific programs. Students will need to work with a partner and give a 3 to 5 minute presentation about your assigned topic.

During the Campus Fair, students are asked to stand and represent a specific department, program, or athletic team. Students are responsible for interacting one on one with families at the Campus Fair when they approach your table. To be successful in this role, you should be able to talk about your involvement with the program or class that you are representing.
