Our Fall Sports teams wrapped up an exciting season full of dedication and grit.
The SHP Boys Water Polo team continued their dominance as the premier Water Polo program in the country, capturing the program’s 14th straight WCAL Championship, 14th straight CCS Championship, and 5th straight CIF NorCal Regional Championship. The Gators finished their 2025 campaign with a 22-5 record overall and 9-0 in WCAL play. The Boys defeated Miramonte 11-10 in the NorCal Championship, and finished the season ranked as MaxPreps’ 3rd ranked team in the country.
The SHP Girls Water Polo team followed up a historic 2024 season with another season for the record books. The Gators finished 2025 as WCAL Regular Season and Tournament Champions, CCS Open Division Champions, NorCal Tournament Champions, and CIF NorCal finalists. The Gators finished the 2025 season with a 29-3 record and a perfect 8-0 in WCAL. The Girls season was highlighted by a 8-7 win over Carondelet, the #1 ranked team in the country, in the NorCal Tournament Championship. The Gators finished the season ranked as MaxPreps’ 2nd ranked team in the country.
The SHP Girls Golf team capped off its best season since 2022, picking up 5 wins in league play, and having 2 golfers, Ariane Hartandi and Emily Hallum, both qualify for the WBAL and CCS Tournaments. Hartandi finished 25th overall at the CCS Championships, firing a 78, while Hallum, a 4-year all-WBAL performer, capped off her illustrious career with a 90.
The SHP Girls Tennis team finished the season 14-9 overall, and earned a berth into the CCS Team Championships. The Gators defeated Palo Alto in the 2nd round of the CCS Tournament, before falling to CCS Champion Los Gatos in the Tournament quarterfinals. Seniors Charlotte Weber and Jena Azmeh, along with Jasleen Chohan and Sadie Harmassen, qualified for the WBAL Doubles Tournament, Weber and Azmeh took home the doubles tournament championship, earned an automatic bid into the CCS Doubles Tournament, which they also won in a 3-set thriller.
In just its 3rd season, the SHP Girls Flag Football team established itself as one of the premier programs in Northern California, finishing the season 20-3 overall and 9-1 in league play, winning the program’s first ever WBAL League Championship. The Gators season was highlighted by a 13-12 win over Menlo in the annual Valpo Bowl, bringing the Valpo Trophy back home. The Gators finished the season as the 3rd ranked team in the CCS and 25th ranked team in the state.
The SHP Football team earned its 7th straight trip to the Central Coast section playoffs, this time, qualifying as the #7 seed in the Division III playoffs. The Gators tallied 6 wins in 2025, highlighted by a 22-19 win over The Kings Academy and a 49-48 win in the CCS Quarterfinals over Carmel.
The Boys Cross Country team had seven runners qualify for the WBAL League Championship meet, highlighted by Evan Matsuda and Ryder Jones, both who qualified for the CCS Championship Meet. Matsuda capped off his career with a 21st place finish (of 121 runners) in the CCS Championships, with Jones finishing 85th.
The
SHP Girls Cross Country team had five runners qualify for the WBAL League Championship Meet, highlighted by Cynthia Thacker and Leila Safa, both who finished inside the top 25 overall and qualified for the CCS Championship Meet. Both Girls had strong showing at the CCS Championships with Safa finishing 48th overall and Thacker finishing 51st. All 5 Gator qualifiers are underclassmen and will return in 2026, suggesting bright days ahead for Cross Country.
