Sacred Heart Prep junior Sara Choy won her 60th consecutive girls high school match Tuesday as the Gators opened their season losing to host Cupertino, 5-2, in a nonleague match.
Choy, the two-time defending Central Coast Section singles champion, has yet to lose to a high school player. She earned a 6-1, 6-0 victory at the top of the ladder.
The No. 2 doubles team of Sarah McGrath and Natalie Rotenberg also scored for Sacred Heart Prep, which hosts Palo Alto at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
