• Annual Alumni Day of Service

  Founded & Fueled on Philanthropy, each year, all alumni and parents of alumni (PALs) of Sacred Heart are encouraged to take part in our annual day of service, contributing volunteer hours to their local communities and preferred charities or attend a service event on campus scheduled by the Alumni Office.

• Alumni Day Mass

  Held in conjunction with the Tres Bien Tea, Alumni Oktoberfest and milestone class reunions on Alumni Day, the always-popular Alumni Mass is held each year in the Main Building Chapel. All alumni, family and friends are welcome to attend and take part in the liturgy. Click here for more details on Alumni Day Mass and activities.

• Dads' First Friday Faith and Fellowship with Deacon John Kerrigan

  FRIDAY'S MONTHLY DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR 

  Dad's First Friday (DFF) with Deacon John Kerrigan

  8:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. Otto Library, Main Building

   

  DFF is a community of Sacred Heart dads (current and past SHS parents) who gather on the first Friday of the month (and at other times) to cultivate friendship and to share about family, professional life, and faith. A typical Friday format is to spend a few minutes informally catching up with one another, then quietly reflecting on a passage from Scripture. We wrap up by discussing the implications of that passage on our personal, family, and work lives. 

   

  We are grounded in the Judeo-Christian tradition, but all faith traditions (or no faith tradition) are welcome.

  
  DFF has been variously described as, "Unlike the other 99% of my week," "Challenging, in the best sense," "A great opportunity to get to know dads from across the SHS community," and "A gathering that helps me become a better family man." Come check it out, and bring a friend.

• Come to the Quiet

  Come to the Quiet - Main Building Chapel

  8:30 a.m. Tuesday mornings during the academic school year A weekly opportunity for a calming prayer and a silent reflection led by Sister Dolan. It typically is 15 to 20 minutes. Leave your long to-do list behind, and find some serenity and peace. With all the buzz around us every day, quiet moments might be exactly what you need. • SHS Family Mass Series

  Celebrate our shared Catholic faith on Sacred Heart grounds, as we come together in faith and SHS fellowship. Family Masses are held on the Sacred Heart campus.

• Christmas Family Mass

  A longstanding tradition at Sacred Heart, and newly re-instituted in 2015, the Christmas Family Mass is held on the Saturday preceding the holiday, with alumni volunteers actively taking part in the liturgy as lectors, eucharistic ministers, musicians, and other roles. Coordinated by the Parents' Association Spirituality Committee, the service is followed by holiday-themed hospitality.
