Sophie's Scholars Program

For over 100 years, Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton has educated generations of students for a meaningful life. Our students graduate with a sense of purpose, eager to participate in the transformation of the world. We are proud that our Sacred Heart community reflects the ethnic and socioeconomic diversity of the San Francisco Bay Area. Through the multi-tiered Sophie’s Scholars Program (SSP), we work to ensure that talented young people have access to a world-class education and that they are prepared for college and beyond.

A Sacred Heart education does not end at graduation. It lasts a lifetime.

The Sophie's Scholars Journey

Middle School

Scholars participate in six-week summer programs and are provided year-round academic support to prepare them for a rigorous, competitive high school college preparatory program.
High School

Scholars attend Sacred Heart Preparatory and are provided tuition and non-tuition related financial aid as well as academic, social, and cultural programs that prepare them for college admission.
College

Scholars are provided funds to close the tuition gap not financed through other sources, and ongoing mentoring and advising.
