APPLY ONLINE THROUGH RAVENNA

Welcome and thank you for your interest in Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton! Our application for the 2024-25 academic year opens on September 1, 2023. To learn more about the process, please review the step-by-step instructions by grade level, below.

Note: The application process begins by creating a Ravenna account profile. You can view and track deadlines for every required piece of the Sacred Heart application through a convenient checklist on the Ravenna portal. Please note the deadlines listed within each step as they do vary between grade levels. A successful application will have every item checked off as “complete” once processed by our Admission Team.

STEP 1

Submit the Application

By January 9, 2024

The following forms must be submitted through Ravenna by the January 9th deadline to confirm your interest in applying to Sacred Heart Schools.

Preliminary application form and fee*
Parent/Guardian Statement
Student Statement
Student Proctored Writing Sample (virtual)
SHS Video Project
Three teacher recommendations (Please note: SHS will not accept additional letters of recommendation into a student’s application file).
Two academic years of transcripts
Optional: Academic Support Center application (due Dec 1)

*Please note: if the application fee presents a financial hardship, please contact admission@shschools.org to request a waiver.

STEP 2

Explore SHS Through an Event

September 2023 – January 2024 (optional, but recommended)

Experience Sacred Heart Schools in person* or online. SHS Admission is hosting several events throughout the admission season, including virtual Information Sessions, in-person Prep Previews and Student Experiences to help you learn what makes our community, “the second happiest place on earth.” Please note: all events are optional and attendance has no bearing on the admission process.

Submit the Preliminary Application form through Ravenna to register for an in-person Prep Preview and/or Student Experience (formerly “campus visit”),

STEP 3

Sign up for a Family Interview

Register for January 2024 (by appointment only)

In January, applicants will be invited to schedule a virtual interview with a member of the Sacred Heart faculty/staff to take place in late Jan. This 30-40 minute interview is intended for the applicant and their parents/guardians. In order to register for an interview, prospective families must first submit the preliminary application form and fee.

Please note: We will provide an opportunity to interview in a language other than English, if desired.

STEP 3

(Optional) Apply for Tuition Assistance

By February 1, 2024
