How to Apply - Middle School

APPLY ONLINE THROUGH RAVENNA

Welcome and thank you for your interest in Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton! Our application for the 2024-25 academic year opens on September 1, 2023. To learn more about the process, please review the step-by-step instructions by grade level, below.

Note: The application process begins by creating a Ravenna account profile. You can view and track deadlines for every required piece of the Sacred Heart application through a convenient checklist on the Ravenna portal. Please note the deadlines listed within each step as they do vary between grade levels. A successful application will have every item checked off as “complete” once processed by our Admission Team.

STEP 1

Submit the Application

By January 9, 2024

A child must meet the noted age requirement by August 31st, 2024 in order to be an applicant to the corresponding program/grade level:

Grade 6 = 11 years old
Grade 7 = 12 years old
Grade 8 = 13 years old

The following forms must be submitted through Ravenna by the January 9th deadline to confirm your interest in applying to Sacred Heart Schools.

Preliminary application form, student experience form and fee*
Parent/Guardian Statement
Student Statement
Student Proctored Online Essay (virtual)
Student Video Project
Two teacher recommendations (Please note: SHS will not accept additional letters of recommendation into a student’s application file).
Two academic years of report cards/transcripts
Optional: Academic Support Center application form

*Please note: if the application fee presents a financial hardship, please contact admission@shschools.org to request a waiver.

STEP 2

Explore SHS Through an Event

September – December 2023 (optional, but recommended)

Experience Sacred Heart Schools in person* or online. SHS Admission is hosting several events throughout the admission season, including virtual Information Sessions, Middle School Previews and more to help you learn what makes our community, “the second happiest place on earth.”

Please note: all events are optional and attendance has no bearing on the admission process.

STEP 3

Sign up for a Parent/Guardian Interview

Registration will open in October 2023.

Schedule a virtual interview with a member of our team through Ravenna. Middle School interviews are scheduled for parents only and should last 20-30 minutes. In order to register for a parent interview, prospective families must first submit the preliminary application form and fee.

Please note: We will provide an opportunity to interview in a language other than English, if desired. If you are applying for more than one student, please read the instructions in Ravenna as only one family interview is required.

STEP 3

(Optional) Apply for Tuition Assistance

By February 1, 2024
