SHS Auction Frequently Asked Questions

List of 13 frequently asked questions.

  • What is the SHS Annual Auction Dinner Party?

A long-standing SHS community tradition, the annual auction is our largest community celebration and a critical fundraising event that secures financial support for exceptional faculty and programming, tuition assistance, and other vital resources that benefit all our students.
  • When and where is this year's auction?

    Saturday, March 25, 2023
    6:00 - 11:30pm
Michael J. Homer Science & Student Life Center & SHS Practice Pavilion
  • Why is the SHS Annual Auction Dinner Party important?

100% of the net proceeds from the auction support the education we are so proud to offer our students. The auction is a great community-building event. There are many volunteer opportunities and parents have fun working together to achieve a common goal.
  • How can I get involved?

The auction committee needs and appreciates all kinds of help from the SHS community. No matter how much or how little help you can give, all is appreciated! Here are some of the ways you help:
    • Auction Volunteer Sign Up has a list of volunteer opportunities both before the auction or on the night of the event.
    • Donate an item or service to be auctioned. Need ideas for items? See Auction Donation Ideas, which includes our wish list and fun ideas for “Count Me In” items
    • Ask friends, family members, or businesses (especially ones that you frequent) to make donations.
    • Underwrite by making a cash contribution to help with expenses.
    • Faculty/Staff Sponsorship so they may also join us for the evening!
    • Come to the auction and have a great time!
  • How can I donate an item?

It's simple. Please fill out the Auction Items Donation Form. Next, bring in your item or arrange with the auction committee to have it picked up or delivered closer to the auction. Be sure to provide brochures or pictures for the display of your item if available!

Our item donation deadline is Friday, February 10!
