With yesterday's 4-2 win over Harker, the Varsity Boys Soccer team improves to 11-0-1 on the season, and takes over sole possession of 1st place in the WBAL with a perfect 5-0 record.
Liam Johnson, Chase Dolinko and Tommy Hogan each scored a goal and recorded an assist as Sacred Heart Prep took sole possession of first place with a 4-2 home victory over Harker on Wednesday.
Aidan Basset also scored for the Gators (11-0-1, 5-0), who roll out the red carpet for Crystal Springs Uplands on Friday for a 3:30 p.m. contest.
Sacred Heart Prep holds a one-game lead over both Harker and Menlo School as the league schedule heads into its halfway point.
Menlo, a 6-2 winner over Eastside Prep, makes its way to Harker for a 6:15 p.m. match Friday in a duel for second place and the chance to stay within striking distance of the Gators.
Priory beat The King's Academy, 2-1, in another league match. Priory (5-4, 3-2) hosts Eastside Prep (1-4, 2-8-1) in the battle of Panthers at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Johnson opened the scoring for Sacred Heart Prep, assisted by Hogan. Basset made it 2-0 with a little help from Dolinko. Harker scored to make it 2-1 at the half.
The Eagles also scored the first goal of the second half to tie the match before the Gators responded with an unassisted goal from Hogan and Dolinko's goal, with an assist to Johnson.
