The Gators (14-6) relied on their doubles strength to get by Stevenson. None of the three teams were seriously threatened ion sweeping their opponents.
Nathalie Rotenberg and Sarah Quinlan set tone with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 1. Lindsay Marcus and Sarah McGrath won their match 6-0, 6-2 and Emmy McGrath and Noorayn Jafri won 6-2, 6-0.
Katherine Salisbury won, 6-4, 6-0, and No. 3 singles and Natalie Dias followed suit at No. 4 singles, 6-3, 6-2. Isa Robinson fell in a third-set tiebreaker and Lindsey Lynch was matched with Stevenson's Tomi Main, the third seed in next week's singles tournament.
Sacred Heart Prep lost to St. Ignatius, 4-3, a month ago in a nonleague match in San Francisco. The Gators are 5-6 against teams in the CCS tournament, including 1-3 against the SCVAL.
