Eric DeBrine scored 24 points and the Sacred Heart Prep boys basketball team beat El Camino in a consolation game of the Crusader Classic at Riordan on Friday night.

Jai Dashpander added 12 points and the Gators (1-1) gave coach Tony Martinelli his 200th career victory. Martinelli is 200-83 at Sacred Heart Prep, a .706 winning percentage.

Yianni Gardner scored 10 points for the Gators, who will meet Mills at 3:30 p.m. Saturday for fifth-place in the tournament.

Sacred Heart Prep gradually pulled away from the Colts, getting three 3-pointers from DeBrine and a pair from Dillon Galvin.

Girls Basketball

Hannah Jump scored 21 points in helping Pinewood top Spring Valley, 64-56, Friday in the semifinals of the La Jolla Country Day Sweet 16 Invitational.

Klara Astrom added 16 points and a team-best six rebounds for the Panthers (3-0), who meet the host team in the championship game at 6 p.m. Saturday.

Jump, a junior, has scored 60 points on 22-of-48 shooting, 13-of-29 from 3-point range, through the first three games of the tournament. She also has 13 rebounds, seven steals and a blocked shot.

Astrom is averaging 12 points and 5.7 rebounds a game. Briana Claros, the lone senior, averages 4.7 assists a game.

Pinewood entered the tournament ranked third in the state by CalHiSports. La Jolla Country Day is ranked ninth.

Avery Lee scored 26 points to help Menlo School down Urban, 72-48, in the semifinals of the Marin Catholic tournament Friday.

Mallory North added 17 points for the Knights (2-0), who meet St. Ignatius in Saturday's championship game.

Greer Hoyem scored 19 of her 26 points in the second half but Menlo-Atherton fell to Heritage, 70-52, on the second day of the Cardinal Newman Classic at Santa Rosa JC on Friday.

The Bears (0-2), who lost just three games all last year, are working with two returning starters along with three freshmen and a sophomore among an 8-person rotation.

Senior point guard Carly McLanahan scored 16 points, 10 in the first half.

Boys Soccer

Alex Caceres scored a goal and recorded an assist as Woodside overcame a first-half deficit to beat host El Camino, 2-1, in a nonleague match Friday.

Caceres assisted on Andres Villareal's goal while Jose Capi assisted on Caceres' goal. Wildcat goalie Daniel Avina made five saves.

Woodside (2-0) hosts Serra at 4 p.m. Wednesday in a nonleague affair. Sacred Heart Prep opened it season with a 2-1 victory over host Santa Cruz.
