Cam Gordon scored six goals and the Sacred Heart Prep girls lacrosse team downed visiting Palo Alto 14-3 in a nonleague match Monday.

Sacred Heart Prep resides in a third-place tie with Mitty in the West Bay Athletic League standings. Both teams are three games back of leader Menlo (11-2, 6-0), which has a home game against second-place Menlo-Atherton (11-5, 5-1) at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

With four games remaining in the regular season, the winner between Menlo And M-A will likely have the inside track to the title. Sacred Heart Prep will probably be playing for the No. 3 seed when it travels to Mitty for a game Friday.

The top two teams earn a berth into the semifinals, while the third seed hosts the No. 6 seed, which is currently Castilleja, in the quarterfinal round.

Allison Carter and Kailey Wachhorst also scored for the Gators.

Quin Knoblock, Abigail Ramsey and Emma Stringer scored for the Vikings (10-6, 10-2 SCVAL), who have an important game at Gunn on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

Palo Alto and the Titans are tied for second, each a game behind Los Gatos, with four to play.

The win improves the Knights record to 7-2 and clinches second place in the WBAL.

Menlo closes league Tuesday in a rematch against Pinewood on Tuesday at Shoreline.

On Monday, Menlo was led by junior Max Ting who won medalist honors with a 2-under par 34 which included three birdies.

Freshman Kripa Dharan had his third consecutive solid match with a 2-over 38. Dharan birdied the par-5 18th hole as did sophomore Charlie Hsieh.
