This is his first career honor roll selection for Tonas, and the second in as many weeks to start the season for the Hoyas. ANGELO TONAS
Tonas cruised through 5.0-plus innings in his first start of the season
He struck out 11 batters, more than doubling his previous career high of five.
The lefty had multiple strikeouts in four of his five innings of work, including striking out three batters twice.
Tonas only allowed two hits and one run.
COMING UP NEXT The Hoyas will make the trip to Maryland Eastern Shore on Wednesday for a 2 p.m. midweek contest. The Blue & Gray will then travel to Virginia next weekend for single games against Richmond (Feb. 28), VCU (Feb. 29) and William & Mary (March 1).
