Boys Soccer
The Gators also opened WBAL play with a one-sided victory, beating Priory 9-0 as Liam Johnson scored three goals, one of six different scorers.
Kyle Nilsson added two goals and an assist, Sam Shepard and Alexi Stravropoulos each scored once and had an assist and Ryan McJannet and Kevin Box also scored.
Ethan Veghte, Billy Thompson, Max Sloat and Carlos Deras added assists for SHP (6-0-1, 1-0).
Girls basketball
Megan Norris scored 18 points, Charlotte Levison added 13 points and Sacred Heart Prep scored early and often in a 76-21 non-league win over visiting Westmoor on Wednesday.
Denise Stine added 12 points for the Gators (8-4), who travel to play Notre Dame in Belmont at 6 p.m. Saturday. Grace Florendo scored 11 points, making three 3-pointers. SHP hit nine 3-pointers in the contest.
