Girls Basketball, Boys Soccer victorious on Thursday night

The SHP Girls Basketball team defeated Half Moon Bay 65-38, while the Boys Soccer team beat Prospect 4-0.
Grace Florendo was the portrait of concentration Thursday as she scored 22 points, including five 3-pointers, in helping the Sacred Heart Prep girls basketball team beat Half Moon Bay 65-38 in the semifinals of the Mills Tournament on Thursday night.
Kennedy Anderson added 14 points for the Gators (2-1), who advance into Friday's 7 p.m. championship game against host Mills. The Vikings (4-0) beat Lowell 53-34 to advance.
Charlotte Levison added 11 points for SHP, which took a 28-7 lead in the first quarter.
Boys soccer
Kyle Nilsson scored twice and Sacred Heart Prep beat host Prospect in a nonleague contest Thursday night.
Liam Johnson and Max Sloat also scored for the Gators (1-0-1), who travel to play Monterey at noon Saturday before meeting Riordan in its home opener at 3:30 p.m. Monday.
