Girls LAX defeats MA, remains perfect in WBAL play

Sacred Heart Prep maintained its hold on first place in the West Bay Athletic League with a 14-7 victory over Menlo-Atherton on Tuesday at Sacred Heart Prep.


Menlo School (6-3, 4-1) downed visiting Castilleja (4-5-1, 2-3-1) 17-8 to remain on the heels of the Gators (8-3, 7-0) in the WBAL while M-A (6-4, 4-2) slipped into third.

Freshman Ellie Nota and sophomore Genna Gibbons each scored five goals to lead Sacred Heart Prep, which hosts Burlingame in a league match at 4 p.m. Friday in Atherton.

Allison Carter, Ingrid Corrigan, Grace Johnson and Ava Shenk each added a goal for the Gators, who are undefeated against Central Coast Sections teams.
