Prep report: Gators rate a '10' in boys lacrosse
Tommy Barnds scored four goals, one of 10 players to reach the scoring column, and the Sacred Heart Prep boys lacrosse team topped visiting Bishop's School (La Jolla) 18-6 in a nonconference match Thursday.
Barnds, Larry Hart, Ben Ramsey and Patrick Hagerty each collected a pair of assists as nine different players contributed at least one assist.
Cody Wiebe and Brodi Taweel also shared goaltending duties, each recording a pair for the Gators (10-0), who host Marin Catholic in a nonleague match at noon Saturday.
Billy Barnds, Joe Sonsini, Wilson Weisel, Will Garlinghouse and Ramsey each added a pair of goals to the SH Prep cause.
Boys volleyball
Sacred Heart Prep beat host Eastside Prep, 25-27, 25-18, 25-14, 25-19, in a SCVAL El Camino Division match Thursday. The Gators (15-6, 5-3) play The King's Academy on Wednesday in Atherton. Eastside (0-9, 0-7) is off until traveling to play The King's Academy on Wednesday, April 17.
Boys tennis
Sacred Heart Prep lost to host Crystal Springs Uplands 4-3 in a West Bay Athletic League match Wednesday. The Gators (2-16, 2-8) travel down the street to play Menlo School (16-2, 8-0) this Wednesday at 4 p.m.
