Prep report: Gators take a bite of Wilcox
The Sacred Heart Prep boys volleyball knocked off previously unbeaten Santa Clara Valley Athletic League El Camino Division leader Wilcox, 25-16, 23-25, 24-26, 25-17, 15-7, in Atherton on Tuesday.
Senior Jack Loftus recorded 20 kills, senior Garrett Pinkston added 18 kills and the Sacred Heart Prep boys volleyball knocked off previously unbeaten Santa Clara Valley Athletic League El Camino Division leader Wilcox, 25-16, 23-25, 24-26, 25-17, 15-7, in Atherton on Tuesday.
Junior John Marc Bautista had 11 kills for the Gators (13-6, 4-3), who are off until hosting The King's Academy on Wednesday, April 10 at 6:45 p.m.
Sophomore setter Carter Sun set the tone for SH Prep, recording 37 assists and served effectively, with three aces. Sun and junior Lance Chou combined for 36 service points.
