The SHP Baseball team defeated Menlo 10-0 on Friday afternoon. The Gators were led by senior Nate Fleischli, who threw a complete game, walking none and stiking out 10.

Nathan Fleischli threw a three-hitter and Sacred Heart Prep had another big day at the plate in beating host Menlo School 9-0 in a Peninsula Athletic League Bay Division baseball game Friday.

Reece Lindquist and Peter Desler each drove in a pair of runs for the Gators (6-5-1, 2-2), who host Capuchino on Wednesday at 4 p.m. Menlo (3-4, 0-2) hosts Mountain View in a nonleague game at 4 p.m. Monday.

Fleischli (2-0, 2.25) struck out 10 and did not walk a batter in his 85-pitch outing, which included 63 strikes.

Sacred Heart Prep scored 18 runs in the two games against Menlo after scoring 19 in its previous seven games combined. The Gators have improved their team batting average to .240 from .202 in the past week.

Ryan Mo, who was 4 for 5 with a triple, improved his average to .293 from .200 in one game.

Lindquist and Wednesday's winning pitcher Parker Isaacson each collected two hits while Isaacson, Mo, Yianni Gardner, Braden Fitzgerald and Taylor Ferrario each drove in a run.

The Gators loaded the bases with no outs in the third. Two outs later, Desler delivered a two-run single. SHP scored three runs with two outs in the fourth. Isaacson walked ahead of Mo's triple. Gardner walked, stole second and both runners scored on Lindquist's single.

Fleischli retired 10 of the first 11 batters he faced. His toughest inning was the sixth, when a dropped third strike allowed CJ Ng to reach base and Bennett Norman followed with a single with one out. Fleischi struck out the final two hitters.

The Knights had a runner thrown at home in the fourth, otherwise no one else got any further than second base.
