Sacred Heart Prep boys stay unbeaten in WCAL lacrosse
The SHP Boys lacrosse team improved to a perfect 6-0 on the season after defeating Bellarmine 16-6 on Wednesday.
Max Sloat scored five times, Tommy Barnds added four and Sacred Heart Prep beat Bellarmine, 16-6, in a West Catholic Athletic League boys lacrosse match Wednesday.
Billy Barnds added six assists and Cody Wiebe recorded five saves in the net for the Gators (6-0, 3-0), who travel to play San Ramon Valley at 1 p.m. Saturday.
Larry Hart had three goals an an assist, Ben Ramsey added two goals and two assists while Joe Sonsini added a goal and two assists.
Menlo beat host St. Francis, 16-8, in another WCAL match. The Knights (3-3, 2-1) host Oak Ridge in a nonleague match at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Boys tennis
Sacred Heart Prep defeated Nueva, 4-1, in a West Bay Athletic League boys tennis match Wednesday. The Gators (2-12, 2-4) host Crystal Springs Uplands at 3:45 p.m. Thursday.
On Tuesday, host Pinewood downed The King's Academy, 4-3. Pinewood plays at Sacred Heart Prep Wednesday at 3:45 p.m.
