FRIDAY'S MONTHLY 8:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m SHS Dads' First Friday gathering with current and past parent John Kerrigan. Meet in the Lane Family Chapel, Lower & Middle Schools campus (Park Lane entrance).
September 7, October 5, November 2, December 7, February 1, March 1, April 5, and May 3
This gathering is simple (and based on a 1,900 year old approach called "lectio divina"). It is a more visceral (vs. analytic) reflection on a scripture passage, and includes time for personal and shared prayer, resolution and prayers for others. No experience necessary, and all faith traditions are welcome!
Celebrate our shared Catholic faith on Sacred Heart grounds, as we come together in community for liturgy of the Word and SHS fellowship. Family Masses are held in the Ravi Family Assembly Hall located in the Johnson Performing Art Building on the Lower & Middle Schools Campus (Park Lane entramce).
A longstanding tradition at Sacred Heart, and newly re-instituted in 2015, the Christmas Family Mass is held on the Saturday preceding the holiday, with alumni volunteers actively taking part in the liturgy as lectors, eucharistic ministers, musicians, and other roles. Coordinated by the Parents' Association Spirituality Committee, the service is followed by holiday-themed hospitality.
Held in conjunction with the Tres Bien Tea, Alumni Oktoberfest and milestone class reunions, the always-popular Alumni Mass is held each year in the Main Building Chapel. All alumni, family and friends are welcome to attend and take part in the liturgy.
TUESDAY'S 8:00 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. Come to the Quiet
A weekly morning session of quiet prayer and reflection, led by Kathleen Dolan, RSCJ. Held weekly on Tuesday during the regular school year in Lane Family Chapel, Murphy Administration Building, SHS Lower & Middle Schools campus (Park Lane entrance).

The group will begin with The Great Mysteries by Andrew Greeley, which is a classic introduction to the notion of mystery. Mystery describes the human capacity to recognize and participate in God's presence.
Then we will move on to one of the most important spiritual texts of the 20th century: Thomas Merton's Seven Storey Mountain. This friendly text is a classic that comes out of Merton's discovery of his relationship with God.
Sally Vance-Trembath earned her doctorate from the University of Notre Dame; she teaches in the Religious Studies Department at Santa Clara University where she was voted one of the 10 best teachers in 2015. She is frequently invited to speak to the media about Catholic matters.
