LS Admission Process

Thank you for your interest in Sacred Heart Lower School. We hope our admissions materials, events and process will give you a sense of what Sacred Heart Schools offers its students and their families.  We know applications can be stressful but we are here to help and are excited to come to know your family through our admissions process.  We look forward to welcoming you to our campus soon!

Please note that Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton is one of the Bay Area schools using the web-based platform, Ravenna Solutions, for the submission of all application materials. Through Ravenna Solutions, you can manage your application process and submit supplemental forms such as teacher evaluations and transcripts. Many of these supplemental forms are common forms that are shared among multiple schools. New users will need to create an account before starting an online application.

The Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton, application deadline has now passed. If your family is interested in completing a late application, please contact our office at or 650-454-8450.

*Please note, the admissions office is no longer accepting applications for the following grades: 5th, 7th, 8th, and 12th.

Steps to Complete the Application Process

  • Understand Our Availability and Timeline

    The natural entry point to Sacred Heart Lower School is Preschool and Kindergarten. As such, admission to grades 1- 5 is dependent upon available space and attrition. Interested candidates are encouraged to contact the Admissions office to discuss their interest and learn more about our enrollment availability.

    To be considered for any openings for the 2017-2018 school year, applicants should submit the online application by January 12, 2017 and supporting documents by February 3, 2017. 

    The Admissions office will contact select candidates in early March with information on completing the application process. Please understand we may only assess and interview candidates applying to grades in which we anticipate openings.

    Completed applications will be evaluated by the admissions committee on a rolling basis as space becomes available. Admissions decisions will be communicated to applicants within 4 to 6 weeks of completing the application process.
     Please note Sacred Heart is only able to accept applications to 4th  grade from female candidates.
  • Submit an Online Application and Supplemental Documents

    Applications for the 2017-2018 school year will be accepted starting Sept. 6, 2016.
    A complete Lower School Application will include:
    • Preliminary Application and $100 Application Fee
    • Parent/Guardian Statement
    • Teacher Recommendations
    • Complete Transcripts
    All applications and supplemental documents are completed and submitted electronically through Ravenna Solutions.

    We are committed to making our application process accessible to all interested candidates, regardless of financial circumstances. As such, application fee waivers are available for qualified applicants. 

    Please contact the SHS Admissions Office to request a fee wavier.
