BIASED: How Unconscious Bias Shapes Behavior

Featuring Jennifer Eberhardt, PhD
in conversation with Julie Lythcott-Haims

Wednesday, January 15 @ 7pm
Harman Family Assembly Hall
Sacred Heart Preparatory Campus

Registration on Eventbrite is strongly encouraged.
Begin 2020 at this engaging, timely event with Stanford Professor Jennifer Eberhardt, in conversation with Julie Lythcott-Haims, to discuss implicit bias and how it impacts our society. Eberhart offers a powerful exploration of how unconscious bias and ingrained stereotypes can shape our perception, attention, memory, and behavior without our realization or intent. She will guide us through her substantial research and experience – set out in her compelling book Biased: Uncovering the Hidden Prejudice that Shapes What We See, Think, and Do – illuminating how racial bias seeps into our classrooms, college campuses, police departments, and businesses. Eberhardt reminds us that racial bias is a human problem – one all people can play a role in solving.
