Teacher Talk with Mary Nadine Kane & Nora Dahr

Main Building - Otto Library - 117
Mary Nadine Kane, Lower School religion teacher and Nora Dahr, Lower School parent, will present "Pilgrimage in Christianity and Islam."  Since there has been religion, there has been pilgrimage.  Pilgrimage can be traced to ancient Egypt and ancient Greece and still exists today.  In the Islamic and Christian faiths, pilgrimage is a sign of religious importance and a way for the followers to show commitment to their faith.  This presentation will compare the Christian sites of the Camino de Santiago and Lourdes with the Islamic Hajj and sites of Najaf and Karbal.
