The group will begin with The Great Mysteries by Andrew Greeley, which is a classic introduction to the notion of mystery. Mystery describes the human capacity to recognize and participate in God's presence.

Then we will move on to one of the most important spiritual texts of the 20th century: Thomas Merton's Seven Storey Mountain.  This friendly text is a classic that comes out of Merton's discovery of his relationship with God.

Sally Vance-Trembath earned her doctorate from the University of Notre Dame; she teaches in the Religious Studies Department at Santa Clara University where she was voted one of the 10 best teachers in 2015.  She is frequently invited to speak to the media about Catholic matters.
