Global Online Academy

As a member of Global Online Academy (GOA), Sacred Heart provides students the opportunity to take innovative web-based classes taught by faculty from some of the world's leading independent schools, and to learn in collaboration with students from GOA consortium schools around the world. With a stated mission to replicate the intellectual rigor and teaching excellence found throughout its member schools, GOA provides a modern and meaningful way to promote students’ global awareness and understanding by creating “truly diverse, worldwide, and online schoolroom communities.” All GOA courses are approved by the University of California, and are credit-bearing courses.

Sophie Connect

Through a select catalog of proprietary courses offered online, SophieConnect currently partners faculty and students from 13 North American Sacred Heart Network schools for an engaging and dynamic class experience. SophieConnect classes meet the high curricular standards of a Sacred Heart education while also promoting its values and traditions, heightening cultural awareness, strengthening communication and collaboration skills, and preparing students for a globally integrated workplace. Recent SophieConnect courses have encompassed art history, music theory, psychology, microeconomics, computer science, and marine biology, as well as a professional development course for faculty.
