Exchange Program

An exchange complements the educational experience, as it both fosters the development of community through active participation in the national and international Sacred Heart network, and fosters the development of self-confidence, self-reliance, and personal growth through an immersion experience.
SHS participates in an exchange program that allows qualifying high school students to briefly attend other institutions in the United States and abroad, within the worldwide network of Sacred Heart Schools. The purpose of the exchange program is to give students the opportunity to experience a Sacred Heart education from a different perspective, while discovering the local customs and traditions of the region to which they are traveling.

The exchange program is open to all qualified applicants who have consistently demonstrated sound academic performance and positive social behavior during their earlier years at our school. Students may apply for reciprocal exchanges in a variety of countries and continents, and any SHS family—not limited to high school—may host a student from another school.

SHP Parent

The opportunity for my boys to live with a family in Europe, and then to be able to share our home and our lifestyle here with a visiting student, greatly enhanced their view of the world and the Sacred Heart community. What a fun way to experience different cultures!
