Endowing Our Future
Our campaign endowment goal embraced three initiatives. First and foremost, we continue to support and develop our excellent faculty and staff. Second, we embrace teaching methods and curriculum relevant to today's fast-changing and innovative world. Finally, we ensure that our students represent the rich diversity of our community.
Faculty Excellence
SHS acknowledges the role faculty plays in our mission and strives to attract and retain excellent teachers.
It was St. Madeleine Sophie's vision to educate all children, not just those who could afford to pay tuition. So if we remain true to her mission, which is our mission, financial aid is not an option: It's a mandate. – Connie Solari, SHP Faculty
Sacred Heart Schools is known for extraordinary teachers who inspire challenging discussions and offer support, whether they teach in the classroom, on the playing field, or through service learning projects. Campaign Gift Funds provide resources for faculty to grow and learn, gain inspiration, and bring new energy and ideas back to the classroom. By continually expanding their own horizons, they model for our students what it means to be a lifelong learner.
Financial Aid
Our fundamental premise is that the school should be equally open to the most promising students regardless of their financial means.
Diversity in our classrooms — bringing together students of all socioeconomic, ethnic, and religious backgrounds — enlivens classroom discussion as students speak from a variety of perspectives. However, economic pressures make it difficult for Sacred Heart Schools to offer financial aid to every student we would like to admit. Campaign support enables us to attract and admit the most capable students on the basis of their talent and desire, not their financial means. It ensures that our student body continues to reflect the diversity of Silicon Valley, and that discussions and debates, in class and beyond, reflect many points of view.
21st Century Learning
Key to bringing Sacred Heart Schools fully into this century is the judicious use of technology that enhances traditional teaching and intensifies learning.

Students working on a Tablet PC
Campaign funds endowed the new 21st Century Learning Fund to finance the continued integration of technology and information literacy into curriculum and help faculty adopt emerging technologies and instructional student-centered pedagogies.
