Student Life Preparatory

Sacred Heart Schools offers many opportunities beyond academics and athletics for students to share their gifts and talents with others. All student life programs and events are designed to emphasize student leadership in its many forms. Some of the many programs and events we offer as part of student life in the high school include casual and formal evening dances, fine and performing arts events, service learning opportunities, entertaining lunchtime activities such as DJs, student rock and jazz concerts, and spirited class competitions in which students have fun and win class spirit points for their costumes during Spirit Week or on theme dress-up days. In addition there are a variety of clubs in which students can get involved such as yearbook, robotics, newspaper, and many others.

Consistent with a Sacred Heart "whole child" approach to education, all faculty and staff actively attend to the character formation and emotional well-being of their students. The Student Life Program staff, which includes the Activities Office, Attendance Office, Health Room, and Personal Counseling Office, offers a wide range of educational support ranging from health services, individual counseling and referrals, and partnerships with other departments to support students' learning, health education, spiritual development and community building.

All students are encouraged to get involved. That could mean joining a club or writing for the school paper.  Perhaps consider joining the yearbook staff, play a sport, or work on a charity or justice service project, take part in one of our many fine arts and drama events, or attend a student council meeting. The opportunities and benefits at Sacred Heart are only limited by what a student is willing to do.
