Sacred Heart Schools (SHS) actively seeks applications from socially responsible, enthusiastic students, capable of succeeding in the school's challenging academic environment. Individuals of diverse backgrounds will become fully involved with the many resources and will contribute positively to the community. Like most high schools, the high school SHS -- Sacred Heart Prep -- provides students with the skills necessary to succeed in college.

Sacred Heart Preparatory will launch a Tablet PC program in the fall of 2011. Freshmen and sophomore students will use tablet PCs in their academic courses. Parents will have the opportunity to choose one of the payment options for the purchasing of the school-approved laptop. Training and on-site technology support will be included in the program. Parents considering Sacred Heart Schools for their child should know that, while vacancies may exist at any grade level, the primary entry points are preschool, grade 6 and grade 9. The application process for grade 9 typically begins early in the fall of the student's eighth grade year. Applicants are assessed on the following sources of information: application, parent/guardian spiritual dimension statement, math and English teacher recommendations, principal or counselor recommendation, transcripts, admission examination with writing sample, and personal interview.
We understand that the decision to pursue a Catholic high school education requires a thorough examination of the benefits to students and parents. Applicants are encouraged to participate in a full-day shadow visit, and prospective families are invited to join us for an Open House, both of which will provide a deeper understanding of our goals and mission as a Sacred Heart School and help you to make your decision as you go through the admission process.
